It can be tempting to create a large number of forums before a community launches, but empty sections can make the site feel less active.
A smaller structure is usually easier for members to understand and concentrates early discussions in fewer places.
Create additional forums when existing sections consistently contain different types of discussions that would be easier to browse separately.
